Wasps - advice needed please!

My ds has a wooden climbing frame/swing set in the garden. I've noticed that wasps seem to be suddenly very attracted to it and are stripping small bits of wood off. Is there anything I do to encourage them to go away?

they are just collecting wood pulp to make their nests. they will stop later on, but it does mean you have a nest somewhere not too far away. Watch where they go in case the nest is somewhere you need to do away with them

I'll have to watch out for that!!!

Is there anything I can use which will deter them?

If you provide another source of wood pulp that is easier for them to access/use, they'll probably leave the frame alone.
