Can I put mini daffodils in a pot with roses?

Has anyone done this? Will the roses be annoyed at having to share and not perform as well? My bare root roses have just arrived (joy!) and I’m eager to plant some in pots but I’m conscious they’ll look like twigs until May.

I put all sorts in with mine. They are in big pots.

I have pansies in mine for colour now and self seeded forget - me -nots, mini daff and little iris bulbs to come up in spring.
