Hi all

I have a birthday gift card to use and have enough roses in ground. I want to have a rose in a container up and oblisk

Does anyone have any short climbers etc in pots that do well? Thank you

I put in 2 Claire Austins in pots in March and they’re doing well and climbing up wire against a wall.

I have Strawberry hill that’s been in a pot for about 3 years and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It has a lovely fresh fragrance and is so easy to propagate from. I’ve managed to produce another 2 roses and I’m normally rubbish at it. My absolute favourite potted climber is double delight, it’s not a true climber but does have an arching type of growth. It has creamy white petals edged with deep red, the red colour deepens in the sun and the fragrance is amazing. I can never walk past it without stopping to sniff. It’s my favourite rose in my entire garden.

I’ve got a Dannahue in a pot by the door. It is still flowering now and smells amazing

I have Princess Anne in a container (about 1 ft 6 inches square) and she loves it.
She is also very disease resistant and doesn’t seem to succumb to black spot like most of my others.
