Huge shrub, really tall, up a few stories. The large flowers a sort of coffee peach. This was from a window opposite so I couldn’t get a good picture, not many flowers. It looks like a Magnolia, the way the flowers are, But the season and the colour… the leaves are so glossy, a Camelia ? I’ve never seen one that colour or shape and it’s far too early. It is really beautiful so I am keen to identify it.

It could be a Camelia, I have a winter flowering one and it is in bloom now. The leaves look the same.

The flowers looked the wrong colour for Magnolia Grandiflora. A large cup shaped flower , the size of a big rose I suppose, and Apricot/Peach coloured. I couldn’t get a decent close up of the flower, it was easier to see in real life.

I will try and find out next time I am there, maybe I can take a cutting if I can get close enough.
