I've had problems getting a landscaper to do a total redo in the bavk garden.(Posted before about design and about plants etc)

A lady has recomended someone that done hers a few months ago I've seen her pictures and it looks good, ive also seen some reviews for him.

He's meant to be coming tomorrow afternoon to discuss what I want
( still not sure of layout but have some ideas) ) and a quote etc.

Anything of importance I need to ask that you can think of ?

I dont want to get my hopes up to early but im also excited ( so sad I know )

Is s/he insured? I know of someone locally working as a landscaper who is uninsured. Put a fence post through a gas pipe. Fortunately it was found and fixed before it blew up 2 houses.

And that is so bloody scary!

Yes liability insured.
Thanks for asking
I think i may have done another post somewhere but basically I have no drains on my wall or on ground unless its under the decking but i dont recall anything there before we put decking in years ago.

The water may go through either side neighbours ( shared ? ) if so we would need to ask them to connect something so he can put things under / in my garden so it doesn't get water logged I think, and we have clay soil well definatly around current boaders.

If they say no then he said have to approach council.

ive not found my house plans yet as cats been ill last few days going in for sedation tomorrow and shes already got a heart murmer and thyroid probs so im upset about that. Belly is swollen some fluid in stomach, heart a bit enlarged so got to find out if its heart disease, cancer or infection etc. 😒

This evening he sent me more pictures and a quote including materials but that will change as I add fitting a pergola and if i change raised boarder material etc.

He seems good and experienced and nice man.

So only option is take decking up
If there is no drain may have problems sorting it, and in mean time i will be stuck with a big area of pure soil right outside my back door that will get very wet as its rainy now and more to come as autumn/ winter draws in. So I've text him to say that.

So waiting for a reply maybe tomoorow to see if anything else can be put down if we go ahead to prevent that as a temporary basis.

Its just a shame that i have not found someone before now.
I may have to leave it untill spring time so im so annoyed.

Fingers crossed for my cat tomorrow and my Garden progress lol
