Ground cover for dry sunny bed

Can anyone recommend me some low growing spreading plants that are drought resistant please? Just been weeding my flower bed and now there's too much bare earth! Need to get it hidden before cats use it as a toilet...

Geranium Rozanne doesn’t mind drought. Forms a big clump with masses of purple flowers which you can chop down in mid-summer and it’ll do it again. Erigeron also a good one.

Thanks I'll look those up

Stachys lanata aka “lambs ears” is good for dense ground cover. Lovely silvery fuzzy leaves, and spikes of pale mauve flowers in summer, very drought resistant.

Thanks that's on the list :)

Creeping phlox

Epymedium - glossy green leaves and small flowers in spring, covers ground well but is easy pull out or propagate

Erigeron karvinskianus, Stachys byzantina, Nepeta, thyme, oregano

Sedum. I love Autumn Joy, it doesn’t spread but it grows quickly and easy to propagate through division and cuttings. I also have a lovely creeping variety (spurium?) which is very pretty and unkillable.
