are they babies?

MumRum · 30/05/2008 19:22

I think they are called red ants... boiling water does the trick!

random · 30/05/2008 19:23

Hurts like hell if they bite you

pickie · 30/05/2008 19:24

they bite, be careful, nasty burning sting (landed once in one and was bitten several times (large area on the bum!

Red ants, v. nasty bite

southeastastra · 30/05/2008 19:31

mil has a massive red ant problem in her garden, i dig the nest out so many times, they just come back. they're super ants. been bitten by them so many times, i just leave them alone now.

MarmadukeScarlet · 30/05/2008 19:33

No orange ants are field ants and they do bite, but are not the same as red ants.

pinkdolly · 30/05/2008 19:33

thankyou, i had a nasty feeling they were biting ants.

Red ants are more like dark brown/red as opposed to lurid orange.

MarmadukeScarlet · 30/05/2008 19:38

field ant

MarmadukeScarlet · 30/05/2008 19:41

red ant

southeastastra · 30/05/2008 19:41
