I have a bed with three different pinks in. I dead head them but thats about all.
Went out for the day yesterday to a local park and garden, it was there I noticed they had cut their pinks right back. They were lovely neat little bushy plants mine on the other hand are long and sraggly very pretty when they flower but other wise look a bit of a mess.
Please help

I think you just chop 'em right back when finished flowering

Park plants are just over-pampered and pumped full of steroids anyway. They'd never survive in a REAL garden

Cut' em right back.

Also take heel cuttings, they take really quickly if you start them in water for a week or so.
