Strange little eggs

I was just digging in the soil and turned over a shallow clump. Underneath were a load of small, jellylike white eggs (see pic). Any idea what they could be?

They look like the things my friend found on her allotment, she thought they were seeds of some kind so she put them in a pot in the shed. Unfortunately they turned out to be slugs.
