Any advice please on what colour for new decking. The fences are black. Would black decking be too dark? Many thanks in advance

I'm quite a fan of dark colours in the background as it makes the plants "pop" more. Personally I'd go for anthracite composite decking, or if you're using wooden decking and painting it, a dark grey would be nice (in my view; it's possible I have lousy taste!). Finding the right shade of grey can be tricky, though, so try a tester pot before committing to 19 gallons of the stuff!

Cuprinol Urban Slate - once the kids are grown get a lovely hot tub or pond to replace the trampoline :)

I'm also a fan of dark colours in the background of a garden, but dark natural wood colours, not that wheelie-bin grey you have. I was going to suggest the lovely 'medium oak' for the decking, but it won't go with the fence, will it?

Don't paint it or you will be forever painting it. I have had to do mine this weekend and I am so annoyed that I painted it in the first place.

Would you not be better putting chip or safety matting around the trampoline instead?

Thank you for all your suggestions
