Can someone please tell me what this tree is?

DH is concerned about its size and roots but I love it.

It's a rowan. Small tree and quite lovely.

Rowan / mountain ash

A lot of developers put rowans around their building estates because they aren't usually a thug tree. Birds adore the berries in winter as well.

Thank you everyone! I’m off to do some research :)

100% not a tree to worry about. You could trim it down to reduce height, but please wait until late winter, when it's better for the tree (the sap will go down to the roots), and better for wildlife (they love the berries)

Agree, it's a rowan, and they don't get all that big - they are often recommended as a tree for smaller gardens. It looks as though it is getting towards its full height already.
