How to stop mosquitos swarming around bushes

Are any gardeners able to help, we have tons of mosquitos/midges in our garden that seem to be swamping around our bushes. I can provide a photo of the bushes if that would help.

We are constantly getting bitten in the house due to this and its driving us mad!

Any advice would be appreciated

Do you have standing water anywhere, e.g. a pond, water butt, or even an empty tyre? Mosquitoes love standing water and lay eggs in it.

Fly screens, citronella candles, repellant like DEET. No point killing them because you're only creating an ecological gap for the next mozzie.

Planting mint might help- there are lots of plants that midges don’t like so research them…

Midges and mosquitoes hatch from stagnant water, so if you have any of that in or near your garden, that is where they are coming from.

Otherwise, burn citronella candles in the garden and use coconut-scented shower gel or body lotion. They don't like the smell.
