Metal sheds

I need to replace a shed and realized the cost of metal is a fraction of wood. Also maintainance free! But i now they arent as pretty. I'm on a budget, would you pay the extra for wood?

What will the shed have in it? We just replaced a wooden shed with a metal one. The old one stored inexpensive "stuff" in plastic boxes.

The new one has e bikes in it and we changed as we wanted something much more secure. The con of the metal one is that it seems to be a lot hotter and colder and will be more prone to condensation.

I had thought that we could screen off the metal one with planting but with a metal shed to reduce condensation it was recommended to do this at some distance away and we don't really have the room. We don't use the garden much and can't see the shed from the house (due to no windows looking over the garden), so aesthetic is less of a concern.

Plastic boxes Christmas decorations and Garden tools. It is very visible from the house, but there will be a flower bed in front. Although it will d3finitely look better than the falling apart one now

Composite sheds are great 👍

We have a keter shed on a concrete pad. It has small ventilation slats on 2 sides. It seems to be a consistent temperature all year. It's padlocked and houses all my garden tools which haven't got any rust on them. Fully weatherproof.

We bought a 10x8ft metal shed from B&Q it came flat packed and took absolutely ages to set up. It took 6 of us to lift the roof in place (this is where we deviated from the instructions to build the roof panel by panel as it proved impossible, so ended up building it on the ground first).
Our main problem is that we sited it under a large tree. When it drops its fruit in the autumn it sounds like we are being bombed!

All told that's actually quite positive.

It’d be damp and ruined

We have just been through this and were tempted by the metal shed because of the price. However, they are very flimsy and prone to condensation which drips on everything inside. We have had the same problem with a metal roofed garage.

My husband now decided to build a wooden shed from scratch.
