Hello! I’m a novice gardener. I realise it’s not a great time to plant things in a crazy heatwave
but I have a toddler and a job and limited windows to buy plants so I stupidly went for it!!!
I bought a David Austen shrub rose on Friday. By the time I got home most of the branches were drooping. I watered it regularly in the pot and then planted it about 72 hours after purchase.
This was about 24 hours ago and the only branch that isn’t drooping had one flower on that is now dead!!!
Just watched a tutorial on planting and did everything right!
Have I overwatered (watered every 12 hours or so but not waterlogged or drenched)? Or is it THAT thirsty that it needs more? Or is it just not healthy. No obvious signs of disease!
Surely it’s too soon to be the result of a poor location etc even if I didn’t pick the right spot?
thanks
