Don’t judge the horrific state of the garden - we have not long moved in.
life long dream to have a nesting box. We are surrounded by lovely ponds and trees so the birds may well prefer nature !
My lovely DH has brought me a bird box which was my dream. A nesting box with a camera. possible locations
- north facing wall of the house over the private driveway. Two small bathroom windows. Nice and shady and could put it high up - up to three stories high
- top of garage wall which is east facing. Again over private driveway, we use the garage at least twice a day not driving on and out but for access to stuff
- south facing garage wall which I think is just a no, bird boxes aren’t supposed to be south facing at all as they get too hot. 🥵
- round the back of the garage is possible but we wouldn’t see the box at all which is west facing - but could be done there is a small space it would be west facing and cool but there is a fence close by and it’s not that high a garage it’s single story so we probably wouldn’t have to place it high up near the guttering
it is a solar powered WiFi camera nesting box so doesn’t need to be near a window for wiring.
