I've plug planted lots of perennials - aqueligia, lupins etc and they've only just germinated. Unfortunately they've all got fine hairy mould on them! Are they doomed?

Are you sure it's mould? Could it be fine hairs from the seedling?

padboz · 24/05/2008 13:35

erm - its all over the potting compost too?

No then. Are they in a green house, in a plastic bag or propagator?

padboz · 24/05/2008 14:33

they're in a a propagator - sorry for the back and forth - looking after tots in the garden...

Then I would take them out and let them dry out a bit. They might be ok. Sorry I'm bobbing back and forth too.

hey! I put them all out in the sun for a few hours and they all look fine! mould has vanished almost completely! they're all newly germinated so I've put them back in. I'm incredibly grateful - thanks
