What’s happening with this rose?

This bare root Clare Austin rose planted in March has been doing well and is in bud but I’ve just noticed some of the leaves are discoloured.
What might be going on here?

Leaf miner maybe? Have you looked at the underside of the leaves for pests?

Scratch that last post - it looks more like rose mosaic virus.

My David Austin roses have had the same leaf discolouration this year. I've never seen it before. To start with the leaf has brown blotches that look like mud splashes, then the affected leaves whiten and shrivel. I've looked it up and can't find an answer so I hope someone can diagnose the problem for both of us. I've cut off the affected leaves and the new growth looks healthy. It doesn't seem to have stopped the roses flowering prolifically! I wondered whether it was caused by the hot dry weather in May ?They started flowering very early this year.

Mine also have this this year. I wondered if it was from how hot it’s been

That’s what I thought initially, that they were mud splashed!
