Where do you get your plant pots?

Hello 👋

Please tell me - where do you get your plant pots/containers from? I am looking for some fairly big (in my head, anyway - about 50 cm diameter) containers in which to grow rhubarb, jasmine and ferns. And maybe I'm just tight-fisted but they seem really expensive! For the look I would rather not have plastic. Am I just going to have to fork out £££ or does anyone know of a bargain retailer for such things please?

They can be expensive, but treated well they will last for years.

hi, you should try your loc auction houses - they often have loads and they are lovely and weathered!

Got mine from a friend who was going to throw them out and some from the recycling centre shop. That's just one of them she gave me 6 of those type of pots.

People getting rid of theirs. Facebook market place and local Facebook group mostly.

Also look at independent plant nurseries, rather than garden centres. Our local nursery has a 50% off planter sale at the moment

People are always getting rid of them on Gumtree

I have built up a decent stock at low prices by looking for “collection only” pots in the gardening section of eBay Local.
