Does anyone have one of these, are they worth it, how easy is it to maintain please

Or can anyone recommend something similar?

I am looking for something low maintenance and virtually idiot proof to grow some vegetables and salad stuff.

Thanks!

I have a Vegtrug from Robert Dyas (home farm kit is a bargain, I painted it a less harsh dark grey). I find it a lot less ugly than the vegepods. I’ve wanted something near the house for ages as in the winter I know I don’t venture to the bottom of the garden much and wanted to accidentally see what was happening every day. An extravagance rather than just sticking to vegetable garden but it’s nice to have the plants closer to eye level as well as closer to the house.

Thanks, that does look better value!

I think I am being tempted by the watering system on the vegepod though

I like watering my plants so wouldn’t buy a watering system. It is good to feel like you are giving each plant a bit of personalised care, a little interaction! In this hot weather you would want to water veg trug plants most days but it would take less than a minute.
