Brought last summer, potted it and it seemed happy, survived all winter, grew back in spring and looked lovely and now I looks like it's died! I've included a pic, has it died?

It’s hard to say. I’ve got one that’s doing really well at the moment but I think what I’d do if I were you is dig out all the stuff round the bottom and re pot it in a much larger pot with some good soil and give it a good feed and see if that revives it.

Mine is planted in the ground, so not quite the same, but I thought I had lost it the year that I bought it. It was really thirsty and needed lots of water. A few years on and it's doing fine, but we have been having quite wet summers so I think that has helped.

I've seen them for sale at Asda if you do need a replacement - or just fancy a second one.

If you scrape off the top layer of bark on one of the branches, the layer underneath will be green if its still alive, brown if not.

Agree with bigger pot, new soil and give it weekly Miracle Gro.
