What do I do with this?

Hi all. Ds and dd returned from a school trip having planted some seeds. They told me they were beans. They have really taken off and I’m not sure what type of bean they are and what I should do with them? Do I need a cane for them to grow up etc? Any advice much appreciated! 🙈

That looks like a runner bean to me so yes, it will want a cane to wind itself about.
I'd just stick 3 bamboo canes tied in a tepee shape in the ground and put it in the middle. It should 'find' one of the poles itself and start climbing it

You dont want them too close together. so if space permits about a foot apart and the tepee legs not too far from the beans. They will put out side shoots as they grow so dont worry if it looks a bit sparse to begin with.
