May be a daft question regarding named roses- as in 'Sarah' not roses not roses named after a famous person.
Are the roses usually bought in memory of someone who's died? My mum was bought a named rose after her sister died and I thought about getting her a rose named after her so it could be planted next to her sisters rose. I thought this was a nice idea then got thinking was it a tactless idea as it was a bit morbid if they're usually remembrance roses.
