Best long thornproof gloves recommendations please

I have to tackle a field of bramble that is my garden.
Please recommend me the best thornproof gloves, preferably elbow length as I do get very hot and wear a t shirt. Or not if you don’t think that’s suitable.

Thanks!

I have yet to find anything except very thick leather gauntlets and leather arm protectors. “Thornproof” gloves generally just aren’t.

can you get a mini digger in? Its the best solution to pull out brambles.

I second leather gauntlets - I used to have an old pair of leather motorcycle gloves I used specifically for bramble picking (have never had a motorbike). You can probably get some on ebay.

Leather gauntlets, plus thick clothing if you can bear the heat. Eye protection too - they are horrid whippy things so if you pull one out it can catch you across the face (ask me how I know...)

Kent and Stowe leather thornproof gauntlets are really excellent. I cleared a large area of brambles wearing these, you can grip stems really hard and not a thorn comes through. I have brambles regularly growing into my garden and pull them out wearing these no problem.

Amazing suggestions thank you will look at all of those.

I just love the idea of gardening in motorcycle gloves @BarnacleBeasley I think it would definitely make me less fearful, ha!

I could look at getting a mini digger in @Ilovemyshed are they expensive? Although I quite enjoy a gardening task, I do have a lot to get through.

@SallySalads yes I should wear some sort of eye protection, nothing worse than something flicking back in your eye plus I suffer from hay fever so hoping that will help. Do you just wear workman plastic goggles type- thing?

thank you @Buxusmortus will look at Kent and Stowe, they sound solid :)

@Artisanmom yes i just use safety goggles we bought in b&q for DIY purposes. Good luck with the process - it is very satisfying to pull out a big knotty bramble root.

I will also be looking at those! Currently I wear two pairs of gloves, one short cotton pair with gauntlets over them, but those are not particularly tough, hence the second pair, and that works pretty well

Yes, those are the ones, they're excellent.
