Ants on apple trees šŸŽ

Morning, I’m looking for help with ants on my apple trees. Loads of ants, especially at the tops of the trees.

Im not sure of the correct term for the trees, they are grown against the fence and all fanned out. Not big tall ones.

Thank you for any advice.

They will be 'farming' aphids, unless your tree is covered in them don't worry, the birds will soon find them.

Cordon or espalier is the term you are thinking of.

Agree with others that the ants are only there because of the aphids.
