Mildew (?) on Tellmia grandiflora

I’m interested in whether anyone else gets mildew on their tellmia (it also regularly affects geranium phaeum). I assume it is because my garden gets dry and is quite enclosed (small city garden with high fences). Given the weather we’ve been having it is already quite noticeable - any thoughts on what I can do to manage it? I’m loathe to start cutting leaves off so early :(

It's powdery mildew and it's because they are too dry. Give every thing a good water. It won't damage the plants though so you can just ignore it. I do.
