How much water for newly planted shrubs?

Have googled but suggestions vary enormously 🤷
Planted four different evergreen shrubs (they came in 3l pots) a couple of days ago. Watered well after planting. The next day they were sad and wilting. Watered again. Left it two days then watered again, but they are still wilting.
It has been warm and dry weather, but how much water do they need?! I've never had this problem with shrubs before.
Soil is lightly sandy and very well draining.
Can someone suggest how many litres and how often please?

I give mine 5 seconds with the hose pipe on hot sunny days when they are in full sun.

Hard to give them too much, it will just soak into the ground. But…

Newly planted Plants often wilt because they are loosing water through their leaves faster than their non established roots can supply it, especially when warm or sunny. The best way to stop this is to cover them lightly, a large plant pot over the top, black plastic, even cardboard, anything to give them some shade without excluding all the air. A couple of days in the moist atmosphere this produces and they should be fine

BTW, always soak the rootball before panting by submerging it in water until there are no more bubbles: much better than watering on top.

Planting, not panting . Panting is the gardener.

Next time, try soaking the rootball for an hour first.

Got you loud and clear on the rootball soaking, will do next time!

For now will I just give them say 5 litres each, every couple of days, combined with @Allthegoodnamesarechosen 's covering/shading tip?

Also some plants suffer from transfer shock when they are moved from one ‘home’ to another. They will perk up.
