Are these aphids on my gooseberry?

I don’t think they are - they are pretty much welded on too. Any ideas please?

Yes they are, squash them, hose them off or ladybirds. Also look at the other new growth on your roses as they'll probably attack them too. It's been a bad year for them.

Yes they are. A good stiff squirt with a hosepipe will wash them off, or you can get organic sprays suitable for use on fruit and veg.

There are loads on my roses but these won’t squish the same way nor hose off, which is why I’m confused! Will maybe spray them
