What is this tree & what are the bugs?

Could someone please tell me what type of tree this is & what the eleventy billion bugs living on it are? Is it okay that they’re there or do I need to deal with them? If so, how????

Looks like a Field Maple/Acer.

Any random bug/pollinator will like it.

Don't kill the bugs. They are green fly. They won't damage the plant, it's too big, but they will provide lovely food for all the baby birds.

I have 3 damson trees which are full of black flies. The birds love them!

Agree it's a field maple. Totally natural for it to have bugs, let them all crack on.
