What are on My Lilacs

I keep seeing these all over my flowers. I'm wondering are they mites?

If you mean the fluffy stuff, probably dandelion seeds sticking to the plant. I’ve noticed a lot of fluff floating around this week. The plant doesn’t look like Lilac though?

This is a ceonethus ☺️ (california lilac)

And I think the fluff is pollen from larger trees/bushes, we have quite a bit on ours too but just brushed it off.

Californian Lilac I think the common name is on it.

Yeah, don't call it a lilac, it is totally unrelated to true lilac.

The fluff is probably from willow trees in the area, some of them produce a load of it this time of year and it blows everywhere.
