Evergreen jasmine in containers

Just wondering if anyone has a mature Trachelospermum jasminoides (jasmine) growing in a container, if so how it is? I’m wondering if those climbers you can buy on arches, with containers at the base, are not intended to be the plant’s long term home. I have one in the ground that is very mature but in a fairly sheltered position and is green, no red. Looking at taking another much smaller one out of its container that looks very red still, no new shoots yet. But it’s a big job and there are also electrics coming up through the lot (light) and not sure if it is worth it.

On gardeners question time they said it’s fine in a container but it needs to be a fairly large one, like 2 foot long by a foot wide say….and fed as well as watered.
