How much does size matter - Honeysuckle

Going to put an evergreen one against a section of bare fence.
I’ve seen Lonicera Halliana in Sainsburys, costs about £4 for a plant 10 in tall. A garden centre says they have some about 2ft tall for £12-15.
Is the smaller one likely to take a much longer time to establish and race off?

I’d go with the cheap one, honeysuckle grows really fast.

You need to go by pot size, not plant height. I’d want the roots to be filling a 2 litre pot before putting it in the ground.

Not sure what volume this pot holds but think it’s a 9cm one

We bought one about three years ago in a tiny pot from Morrisons. Cost about £3.99
It covered the fence after about 2 years. They grow fast

Trying to work out how many to buy. Apart from height what kind of spread did you get from yours?

Ours has pread around 2m across the fence and is around 2m high.

Ok, would need a couple to cover the fence.
