I've got a tree peony that flowers very intermittently, about 5 or 6 times in 20 years and only ever had 1 flower in a year.
But it is absolutely beautiful.

My tree peony looks very healthy but has never flowered in many years!

@bungobungobungo It may be the depth it is planted. the top of the corm needs to be no more than 8cm below soil, also well draining and in dappled sun

Normal peonies need to be higher 5cm below surface

My lovely lovely tree peony that I've had to leave behind in our old house. 😭
Between houses at the mo in a rental, but new tree peonies are top of the list for new house once we're in - bigger garden awaits! 😊

Ah, thanks for plant ID! I’ve inherited a few specimens of this in the garden of a house I moved to last year. They smell glorious too 😄

I planted 4 new bare root Peonies in pots 3 years ago (I think).
Loads of buds this year and my first flower has just opened.

My Coral Charm yesterday. So beautiful! Love a peony.
