Should I see my lupins by now.

I planted lots of lupins a few years ago. And they have come up lovely.
I then planted some alliums close by last year. They have come up. But my lupins are nowhere to be seen. Before I go out and get some more should they be waking up by now or am I too early? I’m not seeing anything at all.

Mine are showing leaves by now. Could it be snails or slugs that are eating the new growth?

Nope. Not seen any of those.
