Does anyone recognise this possible weed?

It's coming from a neighbour's garden and behaving like a thug. Does anyone know the name please?

Long (1-2m), tough individual strands which twist together with pale green leaves which have just started opening. Photos attached.

Hard to tell from your pictures. Download Pl@ntNet app to your phone and then follow the instructions. It's really easy and should identify the invader whether in leaf or flower mode.

If image doesn’t show - common jasmine

Hotafternoon · 12/04/2025 09:54

I think it's jasmine, it looks similar to when I had one on my fence in the last house.

Hard to tell without the leaves or flowers behind. Looks like a climber like a jasmine as others have said.

Yes, it's a summer-flowering jasmine. Very pretty.

FizzingAda · 12/04/2025 11:34

Has a lovely scent.

I think you are my neighbour Blush

It's Jasmine.

Thanks everyone!

Well @AutumnFroglets please send more my way because I cut it all back before reading that it was jasmine 🙁. And I think I actually planted it myself 😩 😂.
It was in amongst lots of brambles and ivy which have traveled from the other side of the fence and I felt ruthless and got rid of everything, then I spotted a clump of the mystery plant and remembered planting something there myself. Oops.
