Hi, my neighbour has put some device up on their outside wall overlooking their garden and I have no idea what it’s for? Does anyone have some sort of idea what it’s supposed to be? Thank you

Possibly an ultrasonic device for deterring cats.

It looks like a motion detector. But no idea what it triggers. Could be outdoor lights, cat deterrant etc.

I thought a PIR for movement too, possibly part of an alarm system?

Thanks for your helpful replies. There is already a camera directly above which you can’t see in this photo so I can’t see it being another camera. I was thinking cat deterrent motion sensor type thing but then what cat walks up a 10ft high wall as I thought they are supposed to be near to the ground for it to actually work?
