Violet!

Violets, not weeds, they're beautiful!

LeaveTaking · 08/04/2025 20:07

That’s great thanks!

I put ‘weed’ as I didn’t plant them but to be fair anything I like I don’t really consider a weed, even the speedwell.

I agree Violet. A lovely wild flower. You are lucky.

PoppyBaxter · 09/04/2025 06:46

These were all over yesterday's walk and I didn't know either!

violets. They are a bastard to get rid of and self seed everywhere. Very woody roots

Shetlands · 09/04/2025 08:22

Wild violets - you are lucky to have them!

Crabapple04 · 09/04/2025 13:54

Great for ground cover, I'm very happy to have them in my garden

LeaveTaking · 10/04/2025 21:47

I don’t mind them staying to be honest. They’re very pretty and look after themselves!

Aren’t violets edible? Could pop them
on cakes…. There are quite a few out there.

They spread like crazy and will work their way between paving bricks.

Pretty though.

You need the PlantNet app.
Upload a pic and it tells you what it is.
It's strangely addictive 😉
