Best plant for an arch

Hello,
So I have this lovely arch that used to be stunning with roses, but sadly black spot has set in and after trying everything for 4 years I'm admitting defeat and pulling them out.
What is your relatively fast growing that I can replace it with? Evergreen would be a bonus, but most important is lovely flowers for as long as possible.
I already have Jasmine and California lilac in the garden.

Does it have to be perennial? Lots of lovely annual climbers, sweet peas would be great?

They’ll die with the first frost but climbing nasturtiums will fill an arch in a few months. I planted them to go with squash on an arch last year, sadly the squash all fell victim to the slugs but the nasturtiums were a riot of colour!

You could plant them in the short term whilst something longer term is growing and keep them in check so they don’t overshadow the other plant.

An evergreen clematis - just beautiful

We have two vines. They don’t fruit, but the leaves are lovely.
