Why do my hellebores disappear?

I plant them into my garden and they don’t come back. Why???

They go dormant for the summer but should come back in autumn!

it may depend which sort. I’m not at all an expert on hellebores, I think some may be less hardy than others.

Mine are pretty much evergreen - they don't disappear in the summer. They can be slow to get established - are other plants crowding them out perhaps?

Might be crowding them out. They didn’t come out over autumn/ winter.

Mine don’t die off - they always have leaves. Where are you putting them? Position, soil type etc?
