The trouble is the more sources you look at, the more advice you get. The key is to find one page or website that you like and just stick with that. Main advice is keep it simple at first, don't try to do too much.

I would get a copy of Dr Hessayon's Vegetable and Herb book (out of print but second hand copies easily available) as it is a really useful book to go back to again and again.

The RHS has a 'what to do now' section on their app/website, which is quite useful. I find this YouTuber very helpful, videos are short and clear and there's lots of stuff on every type of vegetable to look back on.

Welcome to allotmenting! I’m just going into my 15th growing year as an allotmenteer and it’s SUCH a joy! My favourites have changed over the years tbh. I started out as more national allotment society and now I rely on Charles Dowding/no dig for soil
and structural stuff, with RHS for planting guidance. There’s no one answer so find something that suits your style of gardening and enjoy!
