Hi, I have a yellow pyracantha to plant next to front door and train up the wall. Any ideas what to plant next to/underneath it? It's only a small patch, about 50cm x 1 m and West facing but too much bare soil at the moment!

Mine filled out so much, and so quickly, that there is no possibility of planting anything underneath it tbh. There were some tulips planted around 30cm away and I noticed the other day that they are now underneath it. It’s only been in 3/4 years. I did a quick Google & it grows around 50-60cm a year, that’s not just upwards, it grows out as well.

How about aubrieta? It forms a low mound and will spread out sideways.

Thank you. Yes I was thinking that I might only need a temporary solution depending on how quickly it fills out! I'm happy to transplant anything as required. Aubrieta might be nice, hadn't thought of that as usually see it spilling over walls...
