I am not very good with plants and gardening. My friend gave me two plants.
I don't know what they are called but they are not in good health.
I'm wondering if they can be saved.

Can anyone help with this?

Looks like bay leaf to me need to be in the ground not in a pot

Can you try another photo slightly more in focus? I’m not wearing my glasses Grin

looks to me like box (buxus sempervirens). Could be blight?

They have new leaves and will be fine. Move to a bigger pot if possible and give them plenty of water and some slow release plant for granules.

@notacooldad It's a euonymus and probably just needs the dead bits cutting off and some fertiliser for spring. Is it in a pot or in the ground?

AlwaysGardening · 14/03/2025 16:36

It’s Euonymus Green Spire with a bit of frost damage

I just dug one of those up last weekend because it looked like that. When I touch it all the leaves fall off.

I’ve put it in a pot for now and will try it elsewhere in the garden, but I am curious as to whether it will recover.
