Seeds taken from a beautiful summer purple flowering plant that I don’t know the name of and trying to figure out when to sow.
Any help welcome!

Hard to see, and blurs when I zoom in, but are they segmented and come apart? I was thinking tree mallow at first glance, but only if they break into little segments.

Tried breaking them up but they are quite firm.
Does this pic help?

I agree, mallow.

Thank you!

Do the large seed heads need to be broken up for planting?

Yes I would. Normally when they are dry at the end of the season they tend to crumble into segments anyway.

Ok!
