Woodland Sage

Does anybody have woodland sage in their garden? If so can I ask what does it look like now?
I cut mine back just before winter and it looks totally dead but I've never grown it before so wondered if this is normal at this time of year?

I’ve got no signs of life from my salvias, but the roots are still healthy. Year on year they come back. I’m in the south.

I’m giving them a longer chance. It isn’t a plant I have ever tried before and they were a bit disappointing almost from the start. If they don’t make a better effort this spring they will get their marching orders.

It's early yet for herbaceous perennials to be showing much growth
Give them a bit longer as it often takes a year or so for them to establish.
Is it a particular cultivar?

@Harrysmummy246 all I know is that it is woodland sage. I agree it is early but most other things in my garden are showing signs of life except this stuff.
I am in a sheltered area of south coast so things are generally a bit earlier here.

I'll go and poke some of mine and see what they're up to tomorrow
