Riveting thread I know! What kind of lock is the best option for garden gates for ease and security? We currently have a bolt and a latch which I think is common. Both have rusted and are out of alignment so looking at what to replace them with. What do you have? The latch is handy if you are in and out, but the bolt for a bit of security, but are there better options these days?
I’ve seen key lock and number pad lock options, does anyone have experience of these? The main problem I can foresee is the lock getting out of alignment again as the wooden gate shrinks and swells through the year.
