Composting - not so green unless you use it????

Apparently if you compost and do not use it ie do not have a garden so just use it as a way of reducing waste, the methane created means it's not so green after all.

Anyone else know anything about this?

lol I haven't heard this but I once stayed with a friend with a first floor flat and a wormery... I never worked what he did with the compost produced.

The opposite if this is to be believed.

I'm slightly sceptical that composting produces less methane than disposing in landfill, but I very much doubt that it produces more.
