How do you store your seeds?

In the last few years I’ve become quite keen on saving seeds and have quite a bit of flower and veg seeds.

I have them in their original packets or in little folded paper envelopes and keep them all in a big paper bag. Locating seeds usually requires a bit of a rummage through the bag!

I’d like an efficient and attractive way to store seeds and have considered reusing biscuit tins (not sure how to compartmentalise) but would like to hear what you do.

I'm their packets or envelopes in a shoe box. They stay upright, so you can just flick through them

Thanks @gingercat02 - just had a go organising some of them in this shoe box and I think this will work well!
The lid won’t go on but I think that should be fine because of where I store them.
Just need a few more boxes!

@gingercat02 - I need to follow Maggie’s lead - been on my feet all day 😊

Will see if I can get a shoe box from my friend whose son wears a size 13!!

Good to see Chiltern and Real Seeds heavily featured!

Real Seeds are great, don’t think I’ve ever had any that didn’t germinate.

Especially like the giant mangetout peas, Asturian Tree Cabbage, Magentaspreen and Quilqiña

They are. The tree cabbage needs to be sliced finely, but it will live several years if you are lucky, and is always available, just pull a few leaves when you’re short of veg. Quilquiña is like a cross between rue and cilantro. I use it in salads. Magentaspreen is the same family as Good King Henry, a nice spinach substitute that doesn’t boil down to nothing - the Magenta bit refers to the ends of the shoots which are bright magenta - it’s a really decorative plant.
