If I paint my concrete garden with silicone paint then put my metal shed on top with its base then put hardboard on the base will the hardboard get damp over time. Or can I just paint the hardboard with silicone.

No idea on that one sorry.

Condensation will be the biggest damp issue in a metal shed.

Hardboard is very poorly water resistant, consider exterior grade OSB instead.

Thank you for that what is ecterior grade OSB. Sorry dont know anything about wood. If I go to B & Q will they know what I am asking for.

Oriented Strand Board. It’s made up of random strips of wood arranged in overlapping directions for strength. Google OSB and you’ll see what it looks like. Then you need to check it’s for outside use not inside.

@Peachuser is this an all metal shed, with a metal floor too?
