Because the little woman doesn't come out of the Swiss weather house as much as she did, whilst the little man pops out more frequently.

my list of jobs is getting longer, Mere, or maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment. We had a lovely day's weather today, I hope you did. Maybe the soft Autumn sunshine gave me a temporary spurt of energy. I managed three hours this afternoon, leaf raking, putting away a few obelisks and chopping up all the spent sweet pea and hollyhocks.

I'm feeling overwhelmed with everything that needs doing and every windowsill in the house is crammed with pelargoniums.
