Going slightly insane to find somewhere to order from that has good reviews and sell at least some of the plants I want Sad

Roots plants were great for hedging- each plant had a proper healthy root ball.

Thank you

We have used Paramount Plants and found them very good

I buy mine from Ashridge Trees. Their bare root saplings are a good price and I've always found them to be very healthy and vigorous.

We got an email from J Parkers the other day, they seem to have a sale on hedging at the moment.

Go to your local garden centre and ask to see their bare root list. You should be able to do a bulk order. Ours usually sells them in bundles of 5 or 10 depending on the species.

RandomMess · 18/10/2024 09:25

I don't want a bulk order though I want 6 different ones, and they will be too tall to fit in my car and there aren't many garden centres anywhere near where I live and many don't have websites so I can check what they stock.

Which specific plants are you looking for?

JParkers is very slow to deliver this year and I've never found them to be very good for shrubs/larger plants. I use them for bulbs and sometimes for bedding plants because their prices are keen and it doesn't matter if every single bulb/plant out of 30-100+ survives, but their larger plants (IME) are not always healthy and either die or take a year or two to get going properly. They are good at refunding for dead plants, but I'd rather pay a bit more and have a healthy plant in the first place.

We used Hedges Direct.
Always give good service.
