Edging like this

I will attach a pic of what I saw and moved, I have a veg area in garden I'm working on and would love to have some edging bits around some parts. Anyone know what kind of wood this might be? It looks easy enough to put together with the wire etc but I'm wondering if the wood would just rot? It looks so pretty but if it's not practical I'll give it a miss

That type of fencing is called chestnut palings, and you can buy it.
